The handywork of local crafters can be found in giftshops, at the Nite Market [at Lords & Legends] and the monthly Craft Market in Beach Road. Indigenous crafters display their wares at Umnini and can often be found at Rogies Park, on the promenade in Amanzimtoti and in Umkomaas.

Craft manufacture is gaining popularity amongst the informal sector all over South Africa and the burgeoning tourism industry has boosted exports of these sought after products all over the world.

Craftwork is increasingly recommended as a highly effective medium to reduce stress as well as to improve fine muscle control in children or stroke & accident victims.
